Summer Holiday

It has been a fantastic long week. Playing on beaches, swimming in the pool, exploring little villages, rock pooling, eating, riding, reading, late nights... oh the list could go on with all of the busy things we have been up to!

Now I have returned home, Mr Bee is still in the South West with his Nana and Grandad and looking back on all of my photographs, it has been a beautiful week.

Swimming

Today, we spent the morning with Becka. A quick trip around the shops before spending an awful long time in the swimming pool on her apartment complex. If we had to pick one word to describe our swimming session, it would be fearless. This little bee has always been confident in the water but today took things to a whole new level.
Arm bands were flung into the pool as he dived in after them, unable to swim, he tread water whilst we dived to his rescue again and again!

After lunch, Mr Bee and I headed back home, but walking to the bus stop, Louie saw the King Richard III museum and naturally, we had to go and visit! Luckily the queue was quite small so we didn't have to wait so long. He was so intrigued to hear the story of the King and olden times. On our journey home, I pointed out all of the places we talked about in the museum, the Cathedral, High Cross Street, Bow Bridge and the Magazine which used to form part of the wall that surrounded the city. He couldn't wait to tell his Pappy and Nana all about it.

Friday

Things have been incredibly busy around here this week. Extra shifts for the entire month mean I have had barely any time with Mr Bee to do anything fun! Wednesday we spent baking and meeting up with the wedding planners, we were too busy to pick up the camera, eek!
Then yesterday I had working in the morning, rushed home to pick Mr Bee up and then on to Rachel, for a walk in the woods. A good catch up was needed, especially as she now has a little one on board which is extremely exciting. Rachel is the lovely lady who will be photographing the wedding, so it was yet another day full of wedding ideas!
Then it was time to drop Mr Bee off at home before collecting some goodies for a girly night in at Becka's new flat! A delicious dinner, lots and lots of laughs, raiding the lace and jewellery collection and a quick swim before we were invaded by 'the splasher' and 'Mel C'.
And now for a relaxing weekend at home with the boys. Aaaaaah!

Loving

Seeing friends, learning to cook, having the swimming pool to yourself first thing in the morning, shopping for small clothes for the small boy, watching the thunderstorms, going to parties, showing off my engagement ring, late night Yoga, learning how to cook and watching the football.

Birthday Party

We had been looking forward to Harry and Emily's birthday party all week. Mr Bee has become quite the little water baby and will never pass up on a trip to the swimming baths.
The great thing about a swimming party is that you have the pool to yourself and therefore are allowed to take photographs :)

Mr Bee is incredibly confident in the water, climbing in and out as he pleases and jumping in even with no-one to catch him. Going under the water does not phase him what so ever. He would rather swim entirely alone than have you hold him or even stand too close. We are so proud of him :)
He did lots and lots of jumping in!

Of course, Mr Bee did not want to get out of the pool, but there was party food and a bouncy castle waiting for him upstairs! He was slightly wary of the castle, but he did come round eventually.

We had such a good time at the party. I hope that Harry and Emily enjoyed their party as much as we did.
Mr Bee zonked out at quarter past six, nearly an hour before bedtime because he had such a wonderful and exhausting time!

Louie Turns Two

The time has gone so fast since I first held my little Bee in my arms, on this day, two years ago! He has grown in to such a wonderful little boy, so full of life, so sweet and loving.
Last night, after he went to bed, we arranged all of his pressents ready for when he came down in the morning.
His face was a picture when he saw his Rocking Horse. I knew it would go down a treat, he is besotted with his little pony pal!

He had lots of presents to open, and he was so pleased with every one that he received.

His 'tweet tweet tree' has been a favourite so far!
We had been struggling to think of somewhere special to go to celebrate his birthday. We finally decided we would take him to the Zoo and then it began to tip it down! We thought better of spending the day in the mud and the rain and took him swimming instead. We haven't been for a little while and Mr Bee shocked us with his swimming skills! He was swimming all over the pool with his arm bands on. He refused to hold on to us and loved making star shapes floating. He shocked us even more when he just climbed out of the deeper end of the pool on his own! He is so grown up!

When we got home, we made a birthday cake together using his new cake baking set. We made a very cute Chocolate Orange cake in his tiny little cake tin and I attempted to ice it, but it was too runny and I had ran out of icing!

We spent the rest of the evening making home made pizza, which was so tasty! A very worn out two year old is now sleeping soundly in bed after a very fun day!
I hope the next year brings him as much happiness as the last.
