Round Up

Another round up of our week via Instagram. I do apologise for being much better at updating instagram than my lovely blog as of late. My time, simply has not been spent on my computer I am afraid.
Too much time spent out of doors, crafting, painting, making, reading and planning. This past week has been filled with
  • a camera-less visit to Packwood House in the pouring rain, just me, the husband and the bee.
  • picking colours for our new house from the Farrow and Ball catalogue
  • painting a bird house
  • playing cowboys
  • buying school uniforms
  • nana/mother hen's birthday
  • painting with oil paints for the first time in 6 years
  • a breakfast picnic
  • my Auntie and Uncles Ruby wedding anniversary BBQ, including looking through old wedding photos!

New

The past few weeks have been hectic as we have been working hard redecorating our bedroom. What was supposed to only be an easy weeks work turned out to be a complete overhaul.
Our bedroom hadn't been decorated for nearly 10 years, was a very bright pink and certainly needed updating. Poor Dan has lived in a pink bedroom for nearly 4 years!

We decided on a green colour scheme with cream accents. The carpet and curtains are beautiful and look lovely against the green walls. We replaced our bed (thank goodness!) and added a beautiful antique mirror and found a new chair at a local vintage shop.

We decided to store a lot of the things from our shelves, keeping out only our DVD collection (far too important to put away!) and a few books that we hadn't yet read/finished, making our shelves free for photographs and keepsakes.

Our bedroom is now so peaceful and tranquil, far from the busy and vibrant state it was in before. It took weeks but was well worth it :)

Me and My Boy

Forever behind the camera, and rather shy infront. There aren't very many photographs of Mr Bee and his Mumma. Because of this, Becka went out of her way to take some pictures of us on our trip yesterday.
Thanks Becka!!

The Victory Show

Today we visited the Victory Show, a World War Two reenactment show at a village near to our home. I planned to take the boys earlier in the year, after we missed the show last year due to being on our Autumn holiday.

After a bad start (leaving the bag at home and having to queue in the traffic twice!) we finally got in and it was scorching! We wandered around the camps, stalls and aeroplanes and both of my Bees were thoroughly pleased!
