Another installment of our Sunday walks.

4 Miles

I'm fairly certain I have the walking bug.
Today I got in 4 miles, a little solo jaunt around the countryside right on my doorstep. My goodness, I love where I live!

 My walk took me up some roads, past some lakes, through some woods and a stream, wheat fields and a field with more broad beans than you could dare to even imagine!

 I even found a quarry!

Birthday Outing

To celebrate my birthday, Anna, the kiddies and I had a lovely trip to Packwood House. A full day of peace and quiet.

 We had a super yummy lunch followed by a huge surprise...

Anna had arranged a chocolate cake, candles, song and all ready for me! All of the staff were wishing me happy birthday all day! It was the loveliest surprise! 

We had a lovely 'welly walk' involving LOTS of mud, before meeting the new baby lambs. It was the perfect, restful birthday celebration I needed after such a busy weekend!

Little Adventurer

Our first outing of the New Year, a brisk walk at Packwood to fight off the terrible cough that Mr Bee has had since Christmas Eve. My legs were finally feeling a little better (After the Physio crippled me three weeks ago...) so we braved the rather muddy Welly Walk, going the whole hog this time. 

This handsome chap was being such a charmer as we flew (literally, we were being aeroplanes) around the Kitchen Garden.

What a menu, Mr Bee had a picnic bucket but still ended up sharing the Mushroom and Thyme soup anyway because it was so delicious. Then we set off on the welly walk.

 Proper mud...

This was just too cute, a proper little action shot, blur and all, jumping off of the big stone. 3, 2 1, JUMP!

He had so fun pretending to be Bear Grylls and thankfully the walk did the trick, no more coughs, well, at least until we got home!
