Pimms and Pizza

Today we visited our good friend Sam, who was having a Pimms and Pizza party to make use of her wonderful new pizza oven! (What a perfect excuse for a party?!)

Louie got all dressed up for the occasion, knowing that Sam is a huge Doctor Who fan too...

He made lots of new friends, especially with George and Roxz, who kept him entertained with football and hide and seek... 

Louie's Lego Party

Today we celebrated Louie turning 6 with a few of his closest school friends. Louie had decided many many months ago that he wanted to have a Lego party with his friends, all he wanted to do was to play Lego!! We decided to have the party at Nana's so that there was a bit more space for the littles to spread out and enjoy themselves, and a little more space for us adults too!

Whilst all the kids were playing and the adults were happy with their cups of tea (and/or beer!) I was stationed in the kitchen making pizza from scratch! We decided as it was a tea time party to ditch the traditional party food and make pizzas for the kids instead.

There was pizza, jelly and ice cream and then a little bit more playing before it was time to bring out the amazing Lego cake made by my amazingly talented sister.

Louie had a wonderful time, doing exactly as he wanted, so a big big thank you to everyone who came along :)

Uni Pals 2015

Someone decided it was too long since the uni bunch had a get together so we organised a little party! An Italian feast at San Carlo, it was absolutely yummy! The last time we were all together like this was probably 2012/2013, so it was great to catch up with everyone.

As we were child free for the evening, we all decided to go to a local bar for a drink and a chat. I bumped into an old school friend (who remarked on our very boring Christmas party!!) but it was a truly lovely evening. We will have to make sure we get together before the big Ronzano wedding in August!

December so far...

This past few weeks have been a little challenging for me, to say the least. I have had a flare up of my JHS which has rendered me at various degrees of useless in some form or another. So between work, we haven't really been up to a great deal. The lego has been out very frequently!

Though my body hasn't really been cooperating, I have been trying my best to make Christmas gifts. Marshmallows were an absolute disaster, but the shortbread was absolutely perfect! 

And the Christmas parties are now done and dusted! The family shin dig, the Elmecon Nottingham stop over and the FYP Christmas lunch, even though not everyone could make it. We swapped our Secret Santa gifts and I received a bag full of goodies, including a bottle of my favourite wine, knitted socks, a bee necklace and my favourite chocolate! Aren't I a lucky girl!

Oak Farm Party

Today popped around the corner to our local farm park for one of Mr Bee's school friends birthday parties. The kids had such a wonderful time, even though one little bee was being rather testing all afternoon. But all in all, they had a great time :)

Come Dine With Me

Months ago at work, we joked about hosting a 'Come Dine With Me' evening, having everyone over for a lovely little dinner party. Well of course, I was nominated to be the host so when Dan and the Bee took themselves off to the North West for the weekend, it was (almost) the perfect time to host our little soiree!
