Weekend

Farmers Market
Photography walk at Calke with Louie and Emily

And then it was my turn...

Cooked breakfast and playing with the horsey hooks.
 Hot Chocolates

This weekend has been fairly hectic. Friday afternoon we celebrated Harry turning 12.
Saturday morning we busied around stopping off for our favourite Pick's breakfast sandwiches from the Farmers Market, and of course, the fab viennese biscuits from 19 Gates. Our afternoon was spent at Calke. We were supposed to go on a children's photography walk but it was a bit of a shambles so we did our own thing instead.
Sunday we were up early. We had a little cooked breakfast before heading over to Lichfield to pick up my engagement ring. My prototype wedding ring was perfect (after a little tweaking...!) and we put the deposit down on two wedding bands. Another thing to strike off the list. We restocked the cupboards for the week ahead before getting the amazing chili on and organising lunches for the coming week before flaking out on the sofa with some catch up TV.

Emily's First Holy Communion

Today we joined Emily and the family as she took her First Holy Communion. She wore our heirloom dress, worn by my sister in 198 and myself in 1998. She looked so beautiful!

It was such a beautiful day, Louie and Harry played outside the church in the sunshine.
After the big event, we headed on back to their home for a big celebration, a BBQ party which lasted long into the evening. With children everywhere, we didn't see Mr Bee for a while!

When it all calmed down, he found Emily's mp3 player and headphones and spent at least an hour listening to her music and dancing on the trampoline. I spent the whole day gossiping with my sisters friends about everything and anything, it was a fantastic day.

The Cooking Party

Today we celebrated the eighth birthday of my lovely niece, Emily. My wonderful sister had a great idea of throwing a cooking party for her and her friends. All week Mr Bee has been so excited!
We decorated aprons.

 Made gingerbread biscuits.

Decorated cupcakes and made pizza for our tea.

 Had a very surprising cake!
 Played wild games.
And little blue eyes spotted the trampoline and couldn't resist a good bounce before going home!
Wishing you a very Happy Birthday Emily!
