Canons Ashby, Take Two

Today, Mr Bee visited Canons Ashby. We visited last year and have been wanting to return every since. We took a nice picnic and headed off for a sunny day exploring. Monkey came too.

When we visited last year, there was a space at the bottom of the garden which looked like it was once an orchard. This year, it was a beautiful vegetable patch lined with the purple flowering mint that we saw last week at Belton House.

Running is the new 'in thing' at the moment, Mr Bee is getting geared up for the Olympics!
Another spot of 'cricket'!

The camera managed to stay rooted in the bag as we wandered around the house, secondhand bookshop and then tearoom.
On our journey to and from Canons Ashby, we were taken a bizarre way up and down dirt tracks! The crazy sat nav! We also saw lots of fancy cars and bikes, there must have been a few meets on in the area, including a Triumph meet at Canons Ashby! We also saw a baby rabbit sitting quietly in a lay by, it was teeny tiny! Very cute!

Kirby Muxloe Castle

Grandad gave Mr Bee some pennies for an ice cream so I promised I would take him. We went to a local little cafe and had a hot chocolate and an ice cream :)

Belton House

Today, Mr Bee and I took our friends Anna and Isaac too Belton House, a National Trust property in Lincolnshire.
When we arrived we had a lovely picnic overlooking the italian garden. We finished quite quickly so we ran off to play and take photos.
We saw lots of pretty flowers, bees, bluebottles and insects. The colours were amazing.
I took the opportunity of having Anna and Isaac in such a beautiful location to practice some shots ready for my 5 impending shoots in the pipeline.

We sat and played lawn games for a while, Mr Bee was surprisingly good at Croquet, which he insisted on calling Cricket!

Then we played mean parents and hid our children in baskets! Louie thought this was more fun than poor Isaac who wasn't at all pleased!
Then we hit the adventure playground so that we the boys could play.

Then it started to rain :(
Stylish breastfeeing in the rain!

Road Trip

Today Mr Bee and I embarked on a little roadtrip to visit our lovely friend Becka in Peterborough. Mr Bee quite likes Peterborough and was very excited! All the way there he was chatting about going to see Becka, her doggies, her family, going around Peterborough and all sorts!
We decided to head north to a Butterfly Park near to Spaulding. There were lots of birds of prey, insects and butterflies. It was lovely. The weather even stayed beautiful for us.
I was rather happy to play with my new lens, I only used my new one all day and it was perfect.

We went back to Becka's and had a lovely evening with her family. We ate a beautiful meal, played cars then moved into their musicy room and played guitar and piano. Another budding musician in the family!
Thank you to the entire Hunt family for such a wonderful day :) And thankyou Tim for the bundle of magazines!

A few from today

Today we lounged around, endlessly played cars and lego and tried to keep a teething toddler happy and comfortable.
In the evening we went to our good friend Jules' for her birthday Mexican Themed birthday party. We ate chilli and nachos (and left the tequilla for everyone else!), danced to an awesome 80's cd (if I can say that...!) and made lots of new friends.

Outwoods

Today we visited Outwoods with our beautiful friend Rachel. We haven't seen her for a little while so it was lovely to see her. We decided to visit the woods as the weather was a little unpredictable and we wouldn't get too wet in the woods! Luckily, it didn't rain at all!

The light was beautiful and I think we both got some lovely photos. Rachel really seemed to love the atmosphere for taking photos, we will definately have to drag her out to the woods again some time!

Loving

Seeing friends, learning to cook, having the swimming pool to yourself first thing in the morning, shopping for small clothes for the small boy, watching the thunderstorms, going to parties, showing off my engagement ring, late night Yoga, learning how to cook and watching the football.
