Weekend

Tiny Toes
 Making Fudge
Saturday:
The Big Joules Sale - I do love visiting Rockingham, even if now it is only for shopping! The wind, the noises from the track, it just takes me back to French Car Show 2009 and what a day that was! This time, the sale wasn't as good as it has been, but I did get a few bargains.
Blossom Yoga - Louie has been asking for me to take him to a yoga class for months now and we finally found the right one. In his element, he boldly went into his class and made some friends whilst I waited in the waiting room. He had joined in perfectly with all of the postures and listened contently, he can't wait until next weeks yoga adventure.

Stamford

 The Cosy Club

Sunday:
Purely You: Unfortunately Becka and I had to cancel our spa day because of my silly burn, so instead, we decided to have a girly pamper day, visiting a salon in Stamford for a manicure and massage each. It was such a relaxing treat for us both, with a perfect amount of wedding talk!
Lunch: After a walk around the shops, we headed to The Cosy Club for a delicious tapas lunch. Lots of gossiping and catching up was well needed, as we don't get to see each other as often as we like. It was the perfect day before we next see eachother, for my super duper secret Hen Party!!

Coughton in the Autumn

The last day of September and we are well into Autumn now. It is getting chillier by the day and the leaves are changing and falling. We decided to head over to Coughton to spend some time together, seeing as we had our Autumn holiday cut short last weekend. Mr Bee remembered the place perfectly, especially where the playground was! He showed Papa around the house gracefully, if not rather speedily.

Inside, the dining room was decorated for Autumn, with beautiful orange and gold leaves and displays. In the main hall, the fire was lit and inviting, a pianist played some favourites and we huddled into a sofa and read the books. It was just perfect.

We went to explore the grounds, stopping to feed the ducks. Papa, the duck whisperer, was having a good conversation with them, I do worry sometimes...

Just why I love Autumn.

Natural Blonde

Natural Blonde, what a lot of girls dream of, having light blonde locks. So most people go for the bottle of peroxide. Luckily, I have always had blonde hair, but it has gotten gradually darker as I have gotten older.
I have never dyed my hair, and vow never to do so. But now, people can't even tell I was blonde! Which is a bit disheartening.
So I have decided to have a go at naturally lightening my hair, with lemon juice and sunlight.

Work lemon juice into dry, clean hair and sit out in the sun until it is dry.

Can't be too difficult can it? I juiced a lemon (we had some left over with no zest from the lemon drizzle cake we made yesterday so it was perfect to use it up) I brushed it through with an old pastry brush that we don't use anymore and sat out in the sun. The lemon seemed to thicken my hair, which is an added bonus, as my hair is so dreadfully thin. It also made my hair very knotty and dry, so you need to keep brushing/combing through to help stop it going hard. Once it was dry, I reapplied some more, from one lemon I got about three goes.

I thought that it might have been a pretty good experiment, but after two goes, I don't think it has done anything :( Which is a shame :(
I don't really want to go using harsh chemicals as I just don't believe in it. Maybe the sun will gradually lighten my hair over the summer, but I think I will keep at the lemon juice for now, at least give it a few more goes, and you never know, I might be blonde again soon?
