Sleep and a Tempur Pillow Giveaway

It has been four and a half years since this little bee joined our family, and that is four and a half years of broken sleep.

Oh yes, he does look so angelic when he is sleeping but don't let it fool you, he doesn't sleep for long. We currently have all hopes pinned on school wearing him out so much that he will finally give us some peaceful sleep, without the little demon coming to prod or tickle us, or just have to do some ridiculous task in the middle of the night.

When Booths sent us a Tempur pillow, we never dreamed that we would have to surrender it to Louie, but mid-morning he crept into our bed, kicked Pappy out and slept soundly on this comfy pillow. I would like to say that he continued to sleep but we can keep wishing right?

For your chance to win a traditional Tempur pillow worth £75 enter the giveaway below.

Good Luck!

Baby Louie

Before Christmas, my beloved Mac died, the hard drive fried and I thought all hope was lost for Mr Bee's baby photographs. I just happened to scroll the wrong way with an old memory card in my camera and found photos backed up on there. I have never been so happy.
I didn't start blogging until Louie was a few months old, so here are some of our favourites.

Louie's first photograph as soon as he met Pappy, around two hours old. 7lbs 4oz.

Two weeks old on his first train ride. It was valentines day.

It was never easy keeping Sonny out of Louie's cot. They would lay in there together in the day times and it was terribly cute.

First trip to London. May 2010. Leicester Square.

Starting young, helping Pappy fix the car.

Mr Alistair!

Isn't he handsome!
Yesterday after a trip into town, we had a very impromptu photoshoot on our conservatory sofa. He looked adorable in his little outfit. I can't believe is a full month old already!

Meeting Baby Alistair

The long awaited Baby Alistair James arrived early Sunday morning, a new addition to this lovely little family.
Today we were lucky enough to meet the little alligator (my little nickname thanks to iphone autocorrct!) and even had a little cuddle, of course he fell asleep on me, don't all babies!
It was a privilege to meet the little fella and we can not wait for him to join us on our big adventures :)
Welcome to the world little chap!

Today

Today I got to meet a new little person. My very good friend Rachel gave birth to a stunning little lady nearly four months ago and today I got to meet her for the very first time. Little Skye was totally adorable, and totally my new best friend! She seemed to like me, so much that she even fell asleep with me, that is a pretty high honour for a baby! And of course, Mr Bee was smitten., giving her gentle kisses and  pats.
After our snuggles with the little beauty, we headed off for home, but decided to have a little drive and a wander first. We headed out to places we haven't explored before and found lots of footpaths that were too overgrown to walk, we had fun playing in the tall, yellow fields.

Bits and Bobs

Bit of a quiet one this week, here is a mish mash of what we have been up to.
1. Playdough in pyjamas before nursery.

 2. A rather foggy but absolutely beautiful drive to work. A busy day but lots of great news!!

 3. Market Bosworth Country Park. The trees are still bare, the ducks were very noisy and we had to don our slipper socks when we got home because our feet were very damp!
 4. A lovely friend of mine gave birth to twin boys on the 29th of Feb, what joy! Congratulations Asta and Darren!
 5. Lots of crafting, Mr Bee was sorting buttons to keep out of Mama's way.
 6. Messy painting... you should have seen the state of the sofa....
 7. Mama wanted to play photographer so dug out Grandpa's tripod which has been in the attic for over 17 years. I knew I would use it one day! However, Mr Bee had hours of fun playing with it, pretending to make films.
8. What a beautiful apron I made yesterday at The Sewing Cafe. Great company and a wonderful pattern. I am very pleased!

Baddesley Clinton

Yesterday, we had planned to meet up with Sam, Anna and baby Issac for a picnic, though following Thursday's thunderstorms we thought it might not be a great idea. So I suggested we took a trip to a NT property, as I had two free passes for friends.
Baddersley Clinton is in Warwickshire, so not too far from the Stephenson's, we estimated it would take around half an hour to get there. However, thanks to Papa's sat nav being completely ridiculous, it took us a little while longer!

We ended up on this really narrow country road, with lots of tree tunnels, for miles and miles! We got there in the end though!
First stop was lunch, as the little one needed feeding, and us big ones were a bit peckish too! Louie decided that he wasn't very hungry and that the A-frame board was so much more interesting than pasta salad, sandwiches and fruit.
Then we went to the gardens to explore.

'Baar'

Then we went to explore the house. I was intrigued that one family lived in this house for over 500 years. I think that is amazing. And they were a devout Catholic family, the house was used as a safe haven for catholics and priests during the Reformation. There were priest holes all over the house, and a bedroom was even converted into a chapel. It was beautiful.

Coats of Arms everywhere

Teeny Weeny Doors - I didn't have any problems though!

An old En-Suite bathroom converted to a priest hole

This room was really wonky!
Then we went to explore some more. We visited the botanic garden and the vegetable garden. Louie was so good holding on to Isaac's push chair.

And it had a moat

Bumble Bee

At Baddersley Clinton, they are doing their bit for the Bee community, with two colonies living in the grounds. They maintain their gardens to be Bee friendly, making sure that certain plants flower etc. We saw LOADS of bee's all day!
It was particularly apt for us don't you think! Inside the house, there was a 'Bee Trail' for children, and although Mr Bee was probably far too young, he loved spotting the Bees, shouting out 'bumble beeeee' every time!

Louie wasn't sure about this scarecrow

Mama and Papa Bee

We had a lovely day, although we probably won't visit again, as it was such a pain to get to! There was certainly lots to see and do, we could have spent much longer there. It was lovely to get out and about with the Stephensons, it was their first day trip with 4 week old Isaac :)
