Snowy Woods

Wrapping up warm, we packed a little picnic lunch and headed out for some fresh air. A flask of tea, sandwiches, vegetable crisps and biscuits. Snow was falling around us as we walked through the snow patched woods.
The boys played in the stream, making bridges and dams, whilst I bimbled around with my camera.
We spent the afternoon with various family and friends before heading out to our favourite restaurant, Ashfields, for an early birthday supper. Delicious!

Two Years

A 14 month old Mr Bee, playing in the garden in only his knickers. If only it was vaguely warm enough to do the same now! This time last year, we were dressed in shorts and dresses, heading to the local ice cream parlour to cool down.
Today saw a trip to a local village for lunch followed by a very brief walk around a country park. Being brave for half an hour at most before retreating back to the car with feet frozen solid.

Be ready for 9 o'clock and don't eat breakfast

This morning we were up bright and early with no clue as to what our day had ahead. Anna arrived at about 9, we were ferried off into town to meet Becka at an undisclosed destination.
Greeted with a large star balloon and starry confetti all over the table, we had a lovely breakfast and then headed back home.
In my balloon!

My lovely bridesmaids arranged a lovely craft afternoon, decoupaging wedding memory boxes! What a great idea from my wonderful friends :) I loved the story of the hat box having its own seat on the train back to Leicester....!
I was treated like a princess with an amazing hamper from Anna, special coffee, cheese, delicious crisps, chocolates and biscuits, my word, I can not WAIT to tuck in!! And a gorgeous top from Becka (who has amazing taste...!) and a copy of the Velveteen Rabbit, these girls know me so well.
Stars, food, collared blouses and childrens books. Perfection
.
Not to mention the homemade chocolate cake which we devoured so fast that I didn't even get a photograph but guess what... it was a star. Isaac devoured two slices and even licked the plate clean, I think it had the seal of approval!

Thank you so much to my favourite ladies for spoiling me today! It was just what the doctor ordered :D

Snowy Snippets

Another snow day. Making tracks in fresh snow on a very early morning walk for a breakfast treat. Papa spent all day welding whilst Mr Bee and I stayed warm inside. Watching films, the F1 and playing all afternoon. Bedtime came early with a poorly little bee :(

Snow

Another snowy weekend.
Waking up to a thin blanket of snow on the ground, snow falling all day.
A Saturday morning swim.
Lots of yummy food, homemade paninis, Pappy's pasta, hot chocolate cupcakes.
Daydreaming about holidays. Camping, adventures.

Joules

Recogonise the little hare? If you know me well, then I am sure that you do!

Joules have been a favourite in our household for as long as I can remember, from my horse riding days of wearing Joules polos (of which I still have a vast collection!) to my day in day out Joules wellies. So when we were contacted by them, I knew we had to be involved! We were asked to choose an item from the Joules range, but being a Joulesaholic, I decided the best idea was to go for something that we haven’t had before – the  Junior Milford Quilted Jacket.

With this cold, wintery weather not giving us any respite, a nice warm coat seemed like a sensible option, as I am sure it will get its use! The age 4 jacket has plenty of room without looking too big on our little bee. Nicely padded with a lovely and soft tartan lining, it is very comfortable and great quality.

Now down to the important bit!

Louie’s Thoughts

Mummy:  Do you like your coat Louie?
Louie: Yes, it is very nice.
Mummy: Did it keep you warm?
Louie: Yes, toasty!
Mummy: What is your favourite thing about the coat?
Louie: *points to the elbow patches* These bits here.

Weekending

Saturday

A trip to Manchester's Science and Industry museum. Our little Bee has a real thirst for knowledge at the moment. Wanting to to know how things work and why. We saw all sorts, from Aeroplanes to ancient computers to roman baths. An exhausting day with the two boys.

 Rufford Old Hall

Whilst the big men went to the highly anticipated football derby, we opted for a relaxing day out to Rufford. A 14th Century country house alongside the Leeds - Liverpool Canal. A young Shakespeare performed his plays in the stunning Great Hall of this magnificent house, which was enough to spark the attention of our little Bee.

Me and My Boy

Forever behind the camera, and rather shy infront. There aren't very many photographs of Mr Bee and his Mumma. Because of this, Becka went out of her way to take some pictures of us on our trip yesterday.
Thanks Becka!!

Five Blondies

Today was spent with my two big Bridesmaids on our first day out as a fivesome. It was Becka's first time visiting the beautiful Calke Abbey, so it was wonderful to show her around which showed me just how much I knew about the place!
We had a good look in just about every nook and cranny, discussing the plans along the way. I borrowed Anna's memory card which she luckily found in her purse, as I left mine at home... silly lady.

I am so glad that I have such wonderful friends to share planning this wedding with and I know they are just as excited as we are!
