Play Dough

I love this oh-so-simple playdough recipe. It is no-mess fun that keeps Mr Bee entertained for ages. I popped out this morning and bought some jars to keep the dough in this time, so that it will keep for quite a long time. That way, Lou can play with it whenever he likes.

If you would like the recipe, please pop over to this blog post. It really is so simple, takes only around 5 minutes and you can whip it up from things you will find in your cupboard.

Mr Bee was more careful this time, to keep the colours separate, however some did get a little marbled. He asked me to model several things for him, of which I obliged and helped him make himself too :)

Owls really are flavour of the week at the moment, and he wanted to act out the book that we bought yesterday, so I was ordered to make a Mummy Owl and a Baby Owl. Then a snowman, as last months snow is still fresh in his mind.

Birthday Party

We had been looking forward to Harry and Emily's birthday party all week. Mr Bee has become quite the little water baby and will never pass up on a trip to the swimming baths.
The great thing about a swimming party is that you have the pool to yourself and therefore are allowed to take photographs :)

Mr Bee is incredibly confident in the water, climbing in and out as he pleases and jumping in even with no-one to catch him. Going under the water does not phase him what so ever. He would rather swim entirely alone than have you hold him or even stand too close. We are so proud of him :)
He did lots and lots of jumping in!

Of course, Mr Bee did not want to get out of the pool, but there was party food and a bouncy castle waiting for him upstairs! He was slightly wary of the castle, but he did come round eventually.

We had such a good time at the party. I hope that Harry and Emily enjoyed their party as much as we did.
Mr Bee zonked out at quarter past six, nearly an hour before bedtime because he had such a wonderful and exhausting time!

Shopping

Today, Mr Bee and I went shopping. We haven't been in a while, so I decided to treat him. Unfortunately I am incredibly fussy, so we came home with a spring jacket for him, one pair of jeans and some new shoes.
His usual shoe of choice, Converse, were far too big in a 6, and with a 5 being too teeny, the lady suggested the Vans shoe. It fitted lovely with some room to grow and more importantly, Mr Bee loved them :)
We made a stop at the bookshop as I promised him we could take some books home. He saw a book about an Owl in the window so we searched hard for it inside, fell in love and took it home. It is called 'A Bit Lost' by Christ Houghton. It is perfect, we would highly recommend it!
The only things brought home for Mama Bee were a bunch of flowers to cheer me up and two new nail colours.

Bosworth Battlefield

Yesterday, Mr Bee and I went up to Bosworth Battlefield for a nice walk with Anna and Isaac. Mr Bee was fascinated by the armour in the cafe.

We had a great walk, Mr Bee wasn't really in the mood so we were both carrying our boys and did get some funny looks but that was okay :)
