Bake

Don't tell anyone but I think I lost my baking mojo.

Today I woke up and just wanted to bake. So I fished out my recipe for a madeira marble cake. A nice and simple loaf cake that is always a joy to make and eat. Delish.

An Evening at Bosworth Battlefield

This afternoon we had a lovely walk around Bosworth Battlefield with our pals Anna, Isaac and Alistair. We planned this trip many months ago, to have a picnic after work here with the boys, I love it when things like this come to fruition.
We picnicked on homemade pork pie, quiche and cheese straws, leaving a little room for some cake before we were almost locked in for the night!

Birthday Tea

Last week was Anna's birthday, so for a little birthday treat, I cooked up a sweet little afternoon tea to celebrate. Cheesey sandwiches (mini triangles of course), scones with clotted cream and my homemade damson jam and petit fours, strawberries and cream mille feulle and mini chocolate pies - all made by my fair hands!

Its safe to say I am quite proud of my creations and I hope the birthday girl enjoyed her birthday treats!
