This week has been all about dreaming. Dreaming about my super perfect wedding. The dress, the decor and of course the venue.
Calke Abbey has been the most ideal venue for me since the first time we visited. I wouldn't be surprised if the staff there knew me by name we visit so often. Even before Honeysuckle and Castle began to host weddings there, I had so many plans of a small ceremony in the estate church, having photographs taken on the walk back down to the house, an intimate wedding breakfast and celebration.
Visiting today confirmed how perfect everything is, my love for the venue, and may have persuaded Dan that it is a fabulous venue that is fit for our special day.
With menus and costings, we are going to be very busy in the next few weeks!
Yesterday, I ordered the dress which I have fallen in love with, into a local store for a fitting. With a venue and even a prospective date, everything seems to be falling into place so quickly. Not to mention our big surprise for our reception.
