A Handmade Christmas

Each year I strive to create handmade gifts for our friends and family. This year I am so pleased with all of the things I have created. Hampers contained raspberry jam, tomato chutney, brandy truffles, homemade marshmallow coated in chocolate, shortbread biscuits, homemade fudge and homemade chocolates.
For the children, they have received activity boxes with an assortment of goodies to keep them amused. God only knows what I will think of next year!!

And as for us, we are probably scoffing our handmade Christmas goodies as we speak. The traditional chocolate orange brioche for breakfast all the way through to the handmade chocolate volcano puddings, a Christmas feast from scratch. Delicious!

Seasons greetings to you all.

Christmas Hampers

Merry Christmas everyone, this is a scheduled post, but I hope everyone had a truly wonderful day yesterday!
This year, Dan and I decided to hand make the gifts going to most of our friends and adult family members. We made a list of things that we could make with Louie that we could give, and ordered lots of everything and got cracking!
You can see how we got on here, here and here.

They may not have been quite as amazing as Becka's amazing hamper, but I hope the recipients appreciate all the love, care and time that we all have put into these little token gifts :)

Gifts

Our friends are just the best! Look at this amazing gift hamper we received today. A handmade crate FULL of beautifully wrapped gifts. And of course, lots of goodies to munch and I tell you now, they won't last until Christmas!
So much effort has been put in to this amazing gift, we are overwhelmed and truly thankful.
Great job Vito and Becka!

Snippets

We spent most of our day at home, only popping out for extra supplies. We made salt dough christmas decorations ready for our Christmas Hampers that Papa and I are planning to send out this year. In a very grown up fashion, Mr Bee did most of the hard work on his own.

Only one cup flour, to half cup salt and half cup water, then a splash of olive oil to make the dough. Rolling it out was fun, but not as much as stamping the stars out with cookie cutters. Mr Bee poked perfect holes in each one and instructed me to decorate the edges with tiny dots. They were hardened in minutes with the help of the microwave.

In the afternoon, we enjoyed chocolate raspberry muffins, by request of the little bee no less!

Whilst we were running errands, we came across a Royal British Legion stand, so Mr Bee went to talk to the gentleman, who showed him his shiny medals. He was very proud to wear his first poppy.
