Sunday. The sub zero temperatures meant that we scrapped our plan of going out for a little walk, in favour of getting some excersize inside instead. Pappy bought another Nerf gun so that he and Louie could play together. It was such fun watching these two stake out two sides of the house, the shrieks of laughter were delightful though I think both sides took it very seriously!

Autopilot
Our planned picnic at Bradgate Park backfired when I went on autopilot and ended up on the wrong road which just happened to be the road to Calke Abbey... so we changed our plans! We had a lovely picnic in the shade of the walled gardens before heading off to the garden of imagination for a good long play.
The boys played for ages in the greenhouse which was growing tomatoes, peppers and grapes. There were some juicy, ripe tomatoes that smelled delicious. Everywhere you look were signs of summer, with beautiful flowers and fruits ready for the picking.

Another blissful day out. Mr Bee decided he wanted to go to Calke, so he directed me nearly the whole way there, until he fell asleep. Even at 3 and a half, he can't stay awake in the car, but I was astonished that he knows the way!
It wasn't sunny, but it was warm and we had a lovely wander, a lovely lunch and a lovely play on the park. Mr Bee made so many friends today, first with a family on holiday from Scotland, and with lots of the volunteers. He is such a confident little bee, and such a chatterbox!

Bank Holiday Weekend
What a way to spend a long weekend.
Prepping the bedroom for decorating, unfortunately the plaster work was just atrocious so we need to wait for Grandad to come back from his holiday until we can make any progress.
Indulging in special breakfasts, home made croissants and McClymont McMuffins.
Shopping for Papa, a new suit and shirts and ties so he looks the part for his fantastic new job.
Lots of time spent out of doors, in the garden, in the fields and a late afternoon picnic in the meadow, Papa's first time.

Birthday Party
Louie's birthday is on the Monday, but we had his party on the Sunday so that all his relatives from around the country could come. We had a lovely weekend with Grandma Jojo, Elle, Dani, Rob and Summer. It was wonderful. In the morning, Louie opened some of his presents, one of them being the Wheelybug Bee from his Mama and Papa.
And his Grandma Jojo bought him the beautiful Rainbow stackey buildey toy thing! Which we did ask for, and Louie loves it! Although, he didn't build this structure, Elle and I did!Playing with Papa |
