Sunday Walks - Charlecote

The weather threatened to be a little nicer this Sunday. With Pappy away for the weekend 'oop norf', Mr Bee and I had a lovely leisurely drive down the Fosse Way (always a favourite for day trips!) to the National Trust property Charlecote Park.

We had a lovely walk around the parkland, spying baby jacobean lambs and getting really close to the deer. We sat for a while watching the ducks on the pond and then had a good climb of some fallen trees to get us all hungry for lunch.

Then we had a good old explore of the house and the parterre, taking in the sights of the River Avon before setting off home for the most delicious chilli for dinner!

March

Well as ever, March was quite an eventful month. We started out with that awful virus that was going around, debilitating the whole household for a good week, then the boiler was condemned and we spent another evening at A&E making sure that the carbon monoxide poisoning hadn't harmed us too much. Between the illnesses, here is a taster of what we have been up to.

It is still winter but these pink tipped tulips are keeping us hopeful for spring, which should be just around the corner!
