Date Day

One beautiful place which will be the back drop for our wedding in 13 days.

Two yummy 'The Italian' sandwiches from our favourite deli, Norths, in Ashby-de-la-Zouch.

Ten toes, barefoot in the grass.

f4.5 for the beautiful wildflower meadow.

Two stunning views we will never tire of seeing.

Assortment of mostly homemade tapas style dishes for supper.

One perfect date day!

Heatwave

A scorching weekend seeing the highest temperatures all year. We headed over to Calke to check out the amazing Garden of Imagination. If you are fairly nearby and have little ones, you really should pay a visit.

Yesterday we decided to enjoy the glorious sunshine at the Ashby Agricultural Show. We saw prize winning bulls and lots of different animals, wandered around the little stalls and saw lots of vendors who we see on a regular basis at our local farmers markets and villages. Mr Bee stayed true to form and admired the show jumping for a good while. I had to buy a hat to protect my fair head from the sun and Mr Bee was treated to a bouncy castle session and a frozen banana lolly dipped in dark chocolate and sprinkles (at his request!).

Just a PERFECT weekend.

Ashby de la Zouch

On Thursday I had a day off, because of the Bank Holiday weekend. As Thursday is Mr Bee's nursery day, Papa Bee and I had a whole day all to ourselves!
Mr Bee started his new nursery, so I watched from the window as they walked across the road to playschool.
Papa Bee and I decided to visit Ashby de la Zouch as it is a place we haven't visited. We enjoyed perusing the nice little shops and had a beautiful picnic from the Deli, Black and Blossom.

We headed on to Ashby Castle to eat our picnic, and proceeded to get rather wet!

When we picked Mr Bee up from playschool, his key workers were absolutely thrilled with him. He had been playing with the big boys, making everyone laugh and generally had a great time! They were so impressed at his level of understanding, speech and general development that we were incredibly proud of him. We are just so pleased that he has settled in so well. The next morning when he woke up, he went straight to his window and asked to go to playschool, he must have had a good time!
