Happy Easter
As we aren't spending Easter at home this year, we haven't been organised enough to prepare a hunt for Mr Bee so we outsourced instead! Since yesterday I have been feeling a little better, so I cut down the pain killers to a drivable level (wahoo!) and made a trip to the local NT property, Gawthorpe Hall, just down the road (its a pity it is too far to walk!
Todays hunt was a bunny hunt (which did make me laugh as there were many signs stating that there was to be no animal hunting in the grounds...!) with fantastic little clues and this time, Mr Bee was able to do the whole thing all by himself, leaving me to amble behind him taking a few photographs whilst he had all of the fun!
Can you spot the rabbit? Mr Bee was very impressed with his chocolate bunny, who went for a little hop in to the tree for a photo!
We took a walk through the woodland to make our way back to the car, playing hide and seek (he hid, I found him, over and over again, he isn't very good yet!) and looking at the different trees! We did find this moss and fungi growing on a tree stump which Louie decided was a 'mossroom', we had a good chuckle about that one!!
I hope you are all enjoying your Easter Sunday and eating as much chocolate as you possibly can ;)

Peaceful
Our weekly playdate with Anna and Isaac was called off because of illness, so Nana asked if we would take her to visit Calke Abbey for the day. We enjoyed a peaceful day walking, exploring and playing. We spotted new flowers, bunny rabbits and baby lambs. The weather was verging on chilly but when the sun shone, it was glorious!
We picked up a new cook book, Calke Estate sausages for our tea, a bunch of freshly picked rhubarb and some new plants to try and keep (wish me luck!!).
On our way home, we stopped off to have a sneaky peek at the holiday cottage we have booked for the wedding, it is the most perfect, quaint cottage with spectacular views (but sadly, not much parking!). I am so glad that we finally found it, and that it was even better than we ever expected. And hurrah, I finally purchased the second bridesmaid dress in the correct size, which I have been waiting to come back into stock for weeks! Perfect!

Two Years
Today saw a trip to a local village for lunch followed by a very brief walk around a country park. Being brave for half an hour at most before retreating back to the car with feet frozen solid.

Teething Problems
Louie has his molars coming through and has been poorly all week. His tummy has been off, he has barely eaten a thing and he is very clingy :( Hopefully they will come through soon and we will have a lovely Louie back!
Having a poorly tummy means that his normal nappies aren't doing the greatest job :( His poo has gone back to the breastfed consistency as he is barely eating anything, and he is going a good 3-4 times a day at the very least. So we have dished out the Little Lamb fitted nappies out of the cupboard.
They were retired as they are very old and stiff, not to mention bulky when we were using them at night. But they are perfect for days when my little man is feeling rubbish :)
Teamed with a Weehugger wrap, they are functional and ABSOLUTELY cute!
Not to mention Louie's awesome teeshirt which reads 'I Like Milk From My Mum, Not From Just Any Old Cow'!!!
Not that you would know he was poorly from these photos! A rare few smiles as he plays with his book and bunny after lunch. Seriously, how cute is that nappy! And Louie too of course!
Well the weather is improving! The sun has been shining and there is a good breeze in the air, perfect for getting those nappies out again! Their first time on the line this year.
As Louie has been poorly, I have been washing my nappies with Tots Bots Potion and a good few drops of Tea Tree oil. Tots Bots Potion is antibacterial washing powder specially designed for nappies and the Tea Tree oil is antiseptic so combined, they should wash all the nasties away.
I have recently bought some Soapnuts but have only gotten round to using them once or twice so far because Louie has been poorly and I thought the Potion would be most suitable. My plan was to use Soapnuts regularly and then every two weeks or a month give them a wash with the Potion to give them a really good clean.
It is brilliant to see the nappies back out on the line!
