Wish You Were Here

 We are having a wonderful time here in sunny Cornwall :) I am writing from our site in the evening sun, enjoying the beautiful view! We have hardly left the beach since we arrived. Our cars were barely unpacked before we were dragged down to the beach by an eager pair of little legs!

 We have been building fort sized castles, churches and running in the sea. Yesterday we stayed at 'Grandads House' (what Mr Bee has named our holiday apartment) all day and made visits to the park and the beach on several occasions!

Today we visited St Ives. The shops were as delightful as usual, we had a lovely lunch at The Yellow Canary (I stand by it being the finest pasty in St Ives!) then spent most of the afternoon on Porthmeor Beach. Which ended up in an emergency pair of shorts for Papa, who was itching to get into the sea, and a pretty Cath Kidston bikini for Mama!

Thats it for my virtual postcard, but I will check in later in the holiday! It is forecast rain for the most part of the Jubilee weekend, but I am sure we will make the most of it nonetheless.

Goodies

Look what has just arrived at The Bee Hive!

• Mollie Makes, my new favourite magazine! All sorts of crafts, packed full of inspiration, and always a free gift to make :)
• An assortment of fabric and habdash, I won't name any names as to where it is from, as I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy, but my order has finally made it here, with an extra yard or two thrown in for good measure it seems. Also the pattern for making a teapot, cups and saucers. Can't wait to try that!!
• My custom made stamps ready to get making business cards etc, verrry exciting.

And all addressed to 'The Bee Hive' which is pretty darn cute too!

Time to get really stuck in!

Today Mr Postman brought me some of the fabric I ordered (really cheaply from ebay! bargain!). My plans are to make some christmas presents. I have a few things in mind already, an apron, housey gifts, lavender bags etc. And I should have enough fabric to make some nice things :)

I really cant wait to get stuck in, but I am going to master my arch nemesis, the sewing machine!
I have such a lovely idea for a pinney, hopefully it will turn out nicely and make a beautiful gift. That will be my first project. I have also found a beautiful (easy) pattern for some little booties that I think I will put in action for some of the babes' Christmas presents!

Im excited thinking about it!

Need to crack on with Louie's book first though....

Thankyou Mr Postie!

Today I received all the things I had ordered! YAY!
Firstly came my Mei Tai, which is absolutely beautiful and Louie was smiling as soon as we got him in it! I love it! I cant wait to get out and use it properly!

Then came my Wee Notion night notions. Wow, SO silky soft. We are going to try that one tonight, with the Pumpkin Pants fleece soaker. Hopefully it wont be as big on his botty as his Little Lambs.

Thirdly, was his Itti Bitti Tutto. I was quite sceptical as to whether it would be reliable, or if it would get a good fit. He has it on now and it is doing a good job. He wears a medium D'Lish but has the Tutto on the large setting. He has had it on since lunch (about 4 hours) and it is still going strong!

Lastly came his wonderful walker. It is beautiful. All recycled wood with little fabric bunnies which go up and down! Its lovely, but just a shame Louie isn't quite interested yet, he hasn't figured it out!

Still not heard from Cheeks and Cherries, waiting for the Itti to come in stock, not heard about the validity of the exchange of the Bambooty, Ebay cheapy could take 10-30 days, Slinky Minki has a special order on poppers rather than applix :)

Yay!
My recent fluffy purchases have arrived! :D Woo!
My Cushy Tushy Bee is here, and it looks REALLY good! It is an all-in-one nappy, which I havent used yet and it seems really thick, even without the main liner it comes with, AND it has a smaller booster! I can see this being a really reliable nappy!
And the nappy bin came too, thank god! And the nappy bag, which is quite small but I think it will serve its purpose nicely, at least it wont be TOO big :)
