I'm sorry that I haven't been blogging as regularly of late. Mr Bee seems to have developed some naughty sleeping habits, which keeps him awake until gone 9pm every night!
Trying to fit in crafting and everything else in that time is getting a bit hectic!
I have however managed to get a few pretties finished! Today I have run up a cute little drawstring bag. I don't have a purpose for it at the moment, but it might get put away for Christmas. I can always personalise it for a littlie!
Yesterday I finished this cute little birdie gadget case. I think the template (from Mollie Makes) is just so sweet, that I want to use it all the time. It does make for a lovely gadget case. This time I experimented with a little flap and fastening. We will see how that goes.
Yesterday, I also made a gadget case as a gift for our friend Jules. It is her birthday today, and she stayed over night, so she certainly deserved a gift! She chose the colours and theme she wanted, and had a pale pink gadget case with a bright pink owl on it! It is very Jules!
Hopefully, I will get much more crafted and ready :) Don't forget to visit my shop at The Bee Hive @ Folksy or add my new Facebook page!

Strawberry Picking
Today, Louie and I met up with my school friend, Helen and we went to Whetstone Pastures for a spot of Strawberry Picking!
Neither of us had been before, so it was a totally new experience for us and neither of us knew quite what to expect. We collected our punnets and headed off for the fields.
First we went for the strawberries. Louie had great fun looking in the bushes to find some juicy strawbs. Although, he did seem more drawn to the not yet ripe, green ones.
He was so good as we walked up and down the little aisles of strawberries, being very gentle with the plants and being careful not to walk on them.
We visited the cafe for a well deserved cuppa, well hot choccie, and we were greeted by strawberry madness. Everywhere you turned there were strawberries! It was a very cute little cafe!
Outside, Louie had a go at milking the pretend cow!

Then we ventured off to see what other fruits we could find, and picked a mixed punnet of blackberries, blackcurrants and raspberries. We were disappointed not to find gooseberries, they were all on the floor, or bright red, which we didn't think was ripe to pick.
After we were happy with our collection, we headed back to the little covered area which had a sandpit, bales of hay, a little wendy house and tractors to play on. We all had fun climbing on the hay and Louie was being very grown up going up the steps and down the slide all by his self!

All in all, I went home with about £1.50 worth of fruit, which isn't half bad. You would pay about £4 for that amount in the supermarkets ;) Tomorrow, we are having one of Nana's friends round for tea so I am going to make a delicious Summer Pudding with the fruits. Yum Yum!

Clumber Park
Since Friday I have been organising a surprise for Papa Bee!
It has been a very long time since we both saw our good friend Aidy, over two years I think! As the weather was forecast to be glorious today, I thought it was a perfect excuse to get out and about, and where better than Clumber Park. It was perfect as it is in the middle of Aidy and ourselves!
So last night I was busy preparing a picnic of homemade sausage rolls, cheesey straws, pasta salad, sandwiches, cakes and chocolate treats, and we packed it all up and set off, Papa Bee was clueless to the situation. I told him that we were going on a picnic but not where we were going, and certainly not that we were meeting a friend there!
When we arrived, we packed the pushchair up with the picnic. I very rarely use the pushchair but it really was a necessity to carry the picnic. There was so much picnic that we had to leave some behind, and Dan had to carry a bag and the football.
After a few technical glitches, Aidy popped up from behind a cricket den and met Papa Bee with a manly embrace. Needless to say, he was a happy Bee!

Then Mr Bee got a little distressed as he wanted to be up there with Papa!
So we found some smaller stumps to play with, more Louie sized.
Then we found this. A maze of branches and twigs. It was lovely for Mr Bee to explore, not too big that it was dangerous for him, but big enough for him not to climb too high and hurt himself. Mama even had a go climbing in there.

I think it is safe to say that a lovely day was had by all of us. Hopefully it won't be that long until we see our lovely friend again!

The Bee Hive
I am really trying to get my Folksy shop up and running :)
I now have three items in my shop, and am making things at a rate of 1 every two days. I don't get much time to dedicate but each evening I am trying to do a bit to get some stock in there :)
At the moment it is just the phone cases, but hopefully next week I will have some variety up, if there is anything you would like to see, let me know!
You can go to my Folksy shop here, and you will always see the button on the left which will direct you there too.
