Party Weekend

Mr Bee has been enjoying opening his advent calender. Thursday was a magic flannel as a present. He played in the water for ages and got thoroughly soaked!

Mr Bee has a new best friend, Panda! They have been doing everything together this weekend.

On Friday, Mr Bee and I went out with Anna and Isaac to the garden centre. Louie was very excited to see all of the Santas and decorations. He is very excited that Santa will be coming soon. I can't wait for his special trip to see him next week.

'Baa' at the sheep behind the donkey!

Isaac loved the decorations!
When we got home, the house was all ready for the family party which was to take place on Saturday afternoon. Mr Bee had great fun playing around with all the extra tables and chairs.
We had all the family at our house for the annual get together. Unfortunately, all of my photos were rubbish which is a shame because Mr Bee had so much fun. My cousin was here with her little boy, Jacob. He and Mr Bee had awesome fun playing together. Louie was so busy loving him, and including everyone in whatever he was doing that he didn't go to bed until very late!
Sunday the stragglers were here again for the biggest Sunday lunch you have ever seen! All 18 of us queued up in the kitchen for our lunch and battled for a seat at our extra long dinner table. Even, Vito and Becka, Mr Bee's new best friends came between Papa and Vitos hardcore revision session at the library. They have lots of exams this week and are very busy bees!

The house is calm again now, back to its normal quiet self.

Kedleston Hall

Yesterday, Papa Bee, Mr Bee and I visited Kedleston Hall. We have been planning this trip since the summer! We chose yesterday as the house was to be decorated in an Edwardian Christmas theme.
We got up early and headed out, having a big faff with the sat-nav on the way there.
The drive through the park to the house was truly beautiful. It was so chilly when we got out of the car, so we decided to head to the restaurant for our lunch. However, it was only small and full up already, so instead we headed to the shop.

We visited the Ceasar Room, which was decorated as the servants would have had it, ready for a Christmas party, but only two rooms in the house were open to viewing so we were quite disappointed.

Storytime
After our brief tour of the open rooms, we headed outside to the stables on a reindeer hunt. We had a peek in the beautiful little church en route.

And we found Mummy and baby reindeer!

Mr Bee was fascinated. He wanted to cuddle them!
We decided to head home as we were so cold, and we stopped off at our favourite pub on the way. Mr Bee had fun doodling on the coasters whilst we waited for our yummy lunch to arrive.
I am really looking forward to visiting Kedleston Hall again, maybe when it is a bit warmer and less busy! I have heard that it is very beautiful, and hopefully we will get to see some more of the house and grounds next time!

Christmas

We are really getting in to the festive season now. Yesterday we decorated the house with all of the Christmas decorations. I love the way the house feels so warm and cosy with the Christmas tree and lights, and festive ornaments everywhere.

Last night and this evening have been spent making some more Christmas cards for close friends and family. The card below was a very special card for Mr Bee's to new best friends, Vito and Becka. Vito is Papa Bee's friend from University, and he dotes on Louie like no other! And Louie thinks the world of Vito! So all three of us made this very special card for Vito and his lovely girlfriend, Becka :)

We even popped a buzzy bee birthday invitation inside the card as a special little surprise for them both :)

Wintery Weekend

This weekend we have been up to all sorts!
A wintery walk down to Starbucks for a lunchtime treat.
Stopping off to watch the cars of course.
Lots of playing, including reading about choo choos to Monkey and Gorilla.
 And playing sleeping lions.
Nana brought home a new friend, his name is Nan-noo.
After my craft fair, I cracked on with Mr Bee's party invitations, only just over a month to go now before the bee festivities commence!
Anticipated hot chocolate on sticks from the craft fair, saved for tonight though.
Early morning drive to Lincoln for the Christmas Market with Nana and Jules. It was more unbelievably busy than you could ever imagine!
The bubble lady.
Mama Bee and Mr Bee on a reindeer

And Mr Bee enjoying a ride in on a fire engine ride.
Unfortunately, we didn't really see much that took our fancy at the market, not that we could get to stalls if we wanted to! (Yes, it was THAT busy)
But I did bring some goodies home, mostly craft bits, a metre of beautiful fabric, ribbon and some cute pegs to hold on my price labels, and some beautiful colouring pencils to keep in my bag for Mr Bee.

That is it now for craft fairs this year, I think there are a few projects I will focus on before Christmas, but I will keep you up to date. It will be our family party next weekend, and I am taking Mr Bee on a special trip in Sunday so hopefully I will have a lot to write about next week!

Craft Fair and Giveaway!

Today I had my third and last craft fair of the year. It was held a stones throw away from our house which was handy. I had a rather large table which I was afraid of filling, but I managed to fill it up quite nicely. aq
The fair, which was to raise money for our local Brownie and Guide unit, was really quite busy however people didn't really seem interested in my stall. I don't think it helped that I was put next to an elderly lady who had made hundreds of handmade cards, selling them for 50p! It did pick up though, and I managed to bring home a modest profit :)

Floral, Birdie, Dandilion or Ditsy - You choose!

Amazingly, this post will see my 20,000th reader! I simply can't believe that so many people have cared enough to read about our lives! As a token of my appreciation, I would like to give away one of my popular little wallets. To get your hands on one of these, please leave a comment below, stating which wallet you would like and I will draw a winner and post the details on the blog. The best of luck to you all, and thanks again for taking the time to share our memories!

Productive Week

After my successful craft fair last Saturday, I was worrying about the amount of things that I would have ready for the craft fair which I will be having a stall at tomorrow. Even though I have done a bit of procrastinating, I have actually managed to get quite a lot finished. On Sunday I started making cards, but later in the week had a massive session and managed to get loads done. Today, I completed a cushion which has been torturing me for weeks now, but I finally have it finished and looking pretty, so much so that I managed to get a second cushion made today!
I have been making more Christmas Tree decorations today, star and heart ones in red and white, which are very lovely.
My weeks worth of crafting
Not to mention that this week I have registered as a business. Wanting to keep things above board and by the book, I knew that as I was taking money, that I needed to register with the tax man. I have started keeping a book with all my records in, but now I really am thinking that I need to find somewhere else to keep all my things as my little craft corner is over run! It is very exciting though.

I have also booked another stall for February, which will be a Cheeky Monkeys Tea Party run by the wonderful Heather from Tiny Talk.

So wish me luck for my fair tomorrow, for more details, please click here. And have a lovely weekend, I am sure we will as Mr Bee, Nana Bee, our friend Jules and I are going up to Lincoln for their beautiful Christmas Market and we are rather excited!

Take care everyone!
