A Sunny Day in Staffordshire

Sunday.
In the morning we visited a lovely train show, however we were just there for the morning, so we decided to find a local National Trust property to spend the afternoon. We fully expected a dull and grey afternoon just like yesterday, however we were very surprised to see the temperature rise and the sun show its beautiful beaming face!

Shugborough Estate went down well with of us, Louie had fun playing in the gardens, Pappy enjoyed relaxing on the lawn and my favourite bit was the Litchfield Photography Exhibition in the house!

Photography memorabilia. Lovely!

G Scale Show

When we learnt that Pappy's friend was going to be having a stand at a train show, of course we made the effort to go along. All three of us enjoy trains, and though these ones are a little bigger than the usual 00 gauge that we are used to, we enjoyed it nonetheless.

Our particular highlights were the playmobil train sets and layouts that we found. Little did we know that one of these was our pal's dad's layout, we just happened to miss him as we were too early! Nevermind, we still had a fantastic time exploring!
