Wintry Walk
Despite rolling in at a classy 3am last night after a work night out, we were all up quite early and decided to head out in the snow for a nice walk in the wintry cold countryside. We had a lovely stroll around the lake and gardens at Baddesley Clinton and then we warmed up with tea, cake and jacket spuds. Of course we stopped by the amazing second hand book shop, as usual, and picked up a book each. Mr Bee couldn't wait to get started with his new book, and read it whilst he munched his lunch.
A perfect chilly day trip.

Home
I've missed this. Wednesdays with my boy.
School really does get in the way of having fun sometimes. This gorgeous boost of weather has perked us both up so we planned a lovely picnic and a daytrip with no set destination.
A bad nights sleep for me, meant lots of pain in the chest area so no driving for us today, Mr Bee was very upset that we couldn't adventure, but after a slow, recovering morning, we had a picnic at home then popped to the garden centre to stock up on goodies.
And so the rest of our afternoon was spent deep in compost, repotting some more succulents, sowing some seeds and getting some plants out in the fresh air. It was lovely to get out in the garden for the first time, who knows what will happen. I am not a green fingered lady, but I can but try!
After a light dinner, we nipped out for our first evening stroll of the year. It wasn't cold and it was still light so off we trotted to the fields around the corner for a little explore of our village footpaths. I love this countryside lark.
It was so lovely to enjoy a day during the holidays with my boy.

Biddulph Grange Gardens
Our day was spent exploring Biddulph Grange Gardens in Staffordshire. Anna and Isaac joined us for the trip which was a little further a field than we usually travel for a day out, but it was worth it. The gardens were themed to countries around the world. We enjoyed a lovely picnic and had a very thorough walk of the grounds.
On our way home, we got caught in a rather scary thunder storm right in the middle of Stoke. The roads were flooded and we were wondering how long it would take us to get home! Luckily it didn't take us too long!
