Weekend in Style

Straight after arriving back from our honeymoon was a BBQ at the Ronzano's in Peterborough. I was up early to bake a brownie to take with us and we headed up the a47 to meet Vito and Becka (that is a whole other story...) in the town centre. After a yummy lunch in town, we went back for the enormous barbeque that was waiting for us.
With delights such as a whole leg of prosciutto, a whole range of Italian treats on top of the usual BBQ cuisine. My goodness, it was one heck of a feast and fantastic company to boot.

Another busy day on Sunday, up early baking two Chocolate Roulades and painting a card for baby Alistair's thanksgiving service. Another afternoon spent nattering away to friends old and new!

The Weekend

The weekend begun with a party. Our precious little Sophie-Mae turned two on Friday, and we played host to all of her family for a little girly party. My personal favourite part of the whole day was spending the whole evening with her little sister, Chloe-Lea. I had the pleasure of giving her Mummy a little break which was just lovely!
Saturday was pure leisure. Papa had an open day at Uni so wasn't home for most of the day. Mr Bee and I had a rare lazy day, staying in our PJs longer than usual, spending our afternoon in the kitchen and watching films.

Mothers Day brought along the Bastille CD I have been lusting after for so long, even though it was only released this week! We hurried out for a special breakfast with Nana at Patisserie Valerie, Eggs Benedict x3 and a toasted brioche for the littleun. A little wander later and a new chubby stick courtesy of the Mr, and a new perfume picked out we headed home. Louie fancied a snuggle and a film which was just perfect for a snowy day in the warm.

Whilst Pappy cooked up a fantastic three course Mothers Day meal for us, Mr Bee painted me a beautiful picture and covered it in sparkly sequins and glitter. He wanted it to say ' Happy Mothers Day ' so I helped him with the dots and he patiently joined them all up.

Between courses he created some little masterpieces on his chalk board. The first is a slide (see the ladder and the sheer drop!) and the second a bumble bee, drawn all of his own steam with exception of the little wings.
Then for an evening of chocolate goodies, sparkling wine and a film I have been wanting to see for years!

Late Night Makes

It has been a while since I have posted about any of my makes on here. Last night, before a well deserved early night, I made a couple of Thank You cards to send to some very important people. I used some of the bits and bobs I got from the paper craft fair last weekend and my stampin up 'thankyou' stamp. I think they are pretty cute!

Don't you just love sealing envelopes with washi tape! Such a nice finishing touch.

1. Overtime at work means Mr Bee comes along for the day!
2. Mr Bees big thing at the moment, The Muppets - what a good boy at the cinema!

Bits and Bobs

Bit of a quiet one this week, here is a mish mash of what we have been up to.
1. Playdough in pyjamas before nursery.

 2. A rather foggy but absolutely beautiful drive to work. A busy day but lots of great news!!

 3. Market Bosworth Country Park. The trees are still bare, the ducks were very noisy and we had to don our slipper socks when we got home because our feet were very damp!
 4. A lovely friend of mine gave birth to twin boys on the 29th of Feb, what joy! Congratulations Asta and Darren!
 5. Lots of crafting, Mr Bee was sorting buttons to keep out of Mama's way.
 6. Messy painting... you should have seen the state of the sofa....
 7. Mama wanted to play photographer so dug out Grandpa's tripod which has been in the attic for over 17 years. I knew I would use it one day! However, Mr Bee had hours of fun playing with it, pretending to make films.
8. What a beautiful apron I made yesterday at The Sewing Cafe. Great company and a wonderful pattern. I am very pleased!
