Sunday. Dan decided to take us on a jolly to a National Trust property he had been reading about. At short notice, I decided that I would take my old camera, the 550d which has served me well for 5 whole years now! Paired with the 50mm prime, it is nice and light (without the battery grip) so it was nice to just snap away without the extra weight.
For some reason, I just felt like getting some moody, low key photos of the flowers. They weren't quite going over yet, but they were well on their way. I really enjoyed using both of the pieces of equipment that I don't really reach for these days. It definitely made a positive change!!

The Best Medicine
I had been up since so early (someone turfed me out of bed at silly o clock) so I didn't even notice how early we arrived at Calke. It felt like lunch time to me! But we were very grateful to have the gardens to ourselves. It is such a peaceful place at this time of day, it isn't the first time that we have been the first people in! However when we made it back to the visitors centre, it was absolutely heaving!
It was such a beautiful morning, well spent indeed.

Canons Ashby with Anna and Isaac
Isn't this little face wonderful. A ray of sunshine.
Today us bumbling bees visited Canons Ashby with Anna and Isaac. The sun was threatening to come out and it was beautifully warm so we headed to visit a NT property.
We played on the grass, ran in and out of tree tunnels and made wet footprints on the accessibility ramp!
I tried not to just snap everything today and was much more choosy with my camera. I am so happy with my photos today, what do you think?
