Weekend in Style

Straight after arriving back from our honeymoon was a BBQ at the Ronzano's in Peterborough. I was up early to bake a brownie to take with us and we headed up the a47 to meet Vito and Becka (that is a whole other story...) in the town centre. After a yummy lunch in town, we went back for the enormous barbeque that was waiting for us.
With delights such as a whole leg of prosciutto, a whole range of Italian treats on top of the usual BBQ cuisine. My goodness, it was one heck of a feast and fantastic company to boot.

Another busy day on Sunday, up early baking two Chocolate Roulades and painting a card for baby Alistair's thanksgiving service. Another afternoon spent nattering away to friends old and new!

Burleigh and Becka

Yesterday we ventured over to Stamford to meet Becka and her Mum for a day out at Burleigh House, a stately home and garden that I have been itching to visit for so many years. Wanting a pleasant surprise, I chose not to research what to expect and my was that the wrong thing! The Garden of Surprises was a huge surprise! With so many water fountains and features to play in, we were completely unprepared. With all of the other children in proper swimwear get up, Louie ran around happily in his pants and had an incredible amount of fun keeping cool from the incredulous heat.

After a delicious lunch, we nipped back to Becka's to sit in the shade of their garden with a refreshing jug of iced tea. Louie played with the dogs all afternoon until I had to tear him away well after bedtime.
Such a pleasant drive home and we were back in our beds, snoring ready for another early morning.

We went to wish Becka well for her graduation down at the Curve theatre in the middle of town. Of course we had to show her just how proud of her we are!

Road Trip

Today Mr Bee and I embarked on a little roadtrip to visit our lovely friend Becka in Peterborough. Mr Bee quite likes Peterborough and was very excited! All the way there he was chatting about going to see Becka, her doggies, her family, going around Peterborough and all sorts!
We decided to head north to a Butterfly Park near to Spaulding. There were lots of birds of prey, insects and butterflies. It was lovely. The weather even stayed beautiful for us.
I was rather happy to play with my new lens, I only used my new one all day and it was perfect.

We went back to Becka's and had a lovely evening with her family. We ate a beautiful meal, played cars then moved into their musicy room and played guitar and piano. Another budding musician in the family!
Thank you to the entire Hunt family for such a wonderful day :) And thankyou Tim for the bundle of magazines!
