Autumn Fun

This week is half term, though I wouldn't know it. I have been working as usual so my little Bee has been off with his Nana. However, my usual Wednesday off wasn't wasted. Though the weather was forcast rain, we weren't going to let that hamper the one day of the week that we could have Mummy and Louie time. So we made the educated decision to visit Belton House.
Plenty to do in the wet. Plenty to do in the dry. Perfect.

After a gorgeous lie in, we arrived in Grantham at nearly lunch time, so our first port of call was lunch. We ate in 'The Ride Cafe', complete with indoor adventure play area, so Mr Bee had a good play in side whilst I cosied up with a coffee and a book. Then it was homework time.
For the half term week, we have to choose 3 of a possible 9 themes to complete for homework. One of these was a nature walk. Louie chose to take some photographs of the changing colours and the shapes of the trees and leaves. We walked all around the garden, finding autumnal Dahlias and lots of other signs of autumn, fallen and crispy leaves, acorns and conkers.

 No hands!

We retreated inside once again, to indulge in some tea and cake and of course another little play. But then the fun begun. We headed outside to the now even better adventure play ground! You may remember our last visit, during the summer holidays, we came to check out the new play equipment however not all of it was ready just yet. This time, more of it was open, hooray! We had the entire wooded play area virtually to ourselves which was an absolute dream for Mr Bee, and it meant that we could have a super fun time playing together!

It was THE BEST day that we have had in a very, very long time. Happy faces aaaaaall day.
