Sunday

What a lazy weekend we have had! With Mr Bee scaring us twice this week, once with a severe coughing fit and next with an extremely high temperature, we have stayed home and watched an enormous amount of TV.

This afternoon, Papa treated us to a walk around the garden centre for a little lunch and some Christmas browsing. Mr Bee fell asleep (again) and missed out on all the fun.
I was just happy to finally bring a hat home, after weeks of searching. Papa decided I had to have a hat like his, so this little furry Joules number made its way to the till for me.

This weeks Sunday evening is all about cuddling on the sofa with the little hot bee, watching old movies and waiting for my perfected Roast Ham dinner.

Happy Sunday folks!

Ocean Blues

Sweet Things

- Having a very sweet puppy dog in the office absolutely made my day. Everyone should have a 'bring their pets to work' day (but maybe not all at the same time!)

- Date Night shopping and dinner. Sharing delicious gelato for desert before heading home to our sleeping beauty.

- This week I received a lovely parcel of goodies from my friend Hannah over at Tea? Three Sugars! Utterly in love with the beautiful jewellery and paintings gifted to me :)

- We celebrated Anna's birthday with a lovely lunch out with our boys.

-  A delivery of Christmas presents and some goodies for me from Clinique. So easily addicted! Currently loving the Repairwear Uplifting cream which is working wonders on my tired eyes.

- Evenings of watching films, catching up on our favourite series' and watching 80s game shows.

Snippets

We spent most of our day at home, only popping out for extra supplies. We made salt dough christmas decorations ready for our Christmas Hampers that Papa and I are planning to send out this year. In a very grown up fashion, Mr Bee did most of the hard work on his own.

Only one cup flour, to half cup salt and half cup water, then a splash of olive oil to make the dough. Rolling it out was fun, but not as much as stamping the stars out with cookie cutters. Mr Bee poked perfect holes in each one and instructed me to decorate the edges with tiny dots. They were hardened in minutes with the help of the microwave.

In the afternoon, we enjoyed chocolate raspberry muffins, by request of the little bee no less!

Whilst we were running errands, we came across a Royal British Legion stand, so Mr Bee went to talk to the gentleman, who showed him his shiny medals. He was very proud to wear his first poppy.

A Trip to the Sea Side

Sun washed photographs from our trip to Fleetwood.
A surprisingly mild morning on the beach where Papa and I shared our first date. Four years passed.
Throwing stones into the sea.
Chasing puppy dogs.
Chips on the seafront. Always.

Fireworks

Wrapped up warm, we ventured down to Grandma Val and Grandad Steven's house for an evening to celebrate Guy Fawkes night. An 'up north' tradition that we were happy to take part in!
Popar, Papa and Rob attended to the fireworks which seemed to last forever. Rockets, fountains and everything else! The littlies sat inside the patio window for a safe and warm view.
'Five, four, three, two, one, Thunderbirds are go' every time a firework was lit!
After all the fireworks were finished, we headed inside for Grandma Val's cow pie. It was delicious! Followed by Lemon Meringue Pie and a table full of goodies!
Yet another late night for Mr Bee, but well worth it. We all had such a lovely evening!

Dear Santa

I think it is safe to say that this year, I am going to be prepared for Christmas and for Mr Bee's birthday. I won't deny, this year has been TOUGH on deciding what to get him. I don't like to spend a fortune, and I don't like to buy him things just for the sake of it being Christmas. So this year my little bee is getting the following;

1. Cowboy Play Tent.
Every kid needs a play tent of sorts and this is just perfect!
2.Hatley Cowboy Pyjamas.
A christmas tradition. We love Hatley PJs and these ones will go nicely with the cowboy theme ;)
3. Alphabet Fridge Magnets.
Louie is getting very good at recognising letters so hopefully this will be a fun way to start the reading process.
4. Playmobil Horsey Playset.
Mr Bee always plays so nicely with these toys. He will be over the moon to add to his stable yard!
5. The Muppets.
Althought Louie isn't really one for watching TV/films, he loved when we went to see this in the cinema!
6. Who's In the Jungle 25 piece Jigsaw Puzzle.
Puzzles are always one of the favourite toys in our house. He is needing more of a challenge now though so roll on more pieces!

What will you be getting your little ones for Christmas this year?

Happy Halloween

This morning we dug out all of our spooky films, baked meringue ghosties, ate adorable ghost and bat crispies, made halloween shaped pizzas, dressed up as bats and pigged out on popcorn whilst watching our marathon of DVDs.
Mr Bee doesn't seem to be phased by all things spooky, so he happily watched Beetlejuice and Hocus Pocus without a flinch. He has a great little sense of humour!

Now its time for the little bee to head up to bed, Papa and I can sit down to some scary films and finish the rest of our treats.

Happy Halloween!
