Last night, we had a rather significant dusting of snow! It started around the time that we left for my good friend Jules' Graduation Ball, held at the beautiful City Rooms. Little did we know that the snow was going to fall so heavily that we would be stranded in the town, with all buses and taxis suspended due to the bad weather.
At midnight, we were stumbling around the town searching for a taxi, at no avail. I ended up in a heap after sliding over, what a sight, in a ball gown all covered in snow. A kind police officer advised us to get to the bus station as they were putting on emergency mini-buses to help people get home. Luckily as we reached the station, a taxi pulled up. It was twice the going rate but it meant that we weren't walking the way home!
It was a dicy drive home but I just could not wait for the morning to play out in the snow with Mr Bee.
We all got up bright and early, Mr Bee darting to the window as soon as he woke, fascinated by the snow. We all got dressed quickly, wrapped up and went straight outside. Papa and Mr Bee had fun throwing the snow into the air. Then we got started on our snowman.
Papa snowed me in! |
Mr Bee loved helping, he was quite impressive! |
All done! |
I made us all some huge cups of tea and we warmed up. We snuggled up and watched 'The Snowman' and Mr Bee had a nice nap, well deserved.
A perfect Sunday, snow, fresh air, lots of tea, DVDs, roast dinner, some decent telly and lots of cuddles with my little Bee.
I hope you have all enjoyed the snow too :)
